To remove the front seat belt, start by undoing the two lower retaining screws of the centre pillar trim panel. Swivel the seat belt rearwards, slide off the cap over the lower mounting bolt, and then undo the lower mounting bolt. Next, pull off the door rubber sealing weatherstrip around the centre pillar, move the centre pillar trim downwards to release the upper retaining clip, and remove the trim. Undo the upper guide retaining bolt and the inertia reel retaining bolt, then remove the belt. If the seat belt stalk needs to be removed, first take out the driver's or passenger's seat as applicable, hold the stalk, undo the retaining bolt on the side of the seat, and remove the stalk. For refitting, follow the reverse order of removal. For the rear seat belt, begin by removing the rear seat bench, then undo the bolt securing the seat belt mounting to the floor. Pull off the door rubber sealing weatherstrip around the trim panel on the rear pillar, carefully push off the trim panel clips at the front towards the centre of the car using a wedge, and push the trim panel upwards to remove it from the rear pillar. Remove the rear seat backrest, undo the upper guide retaining bolt on the rear pillar, unclip the sound-deadening material around the rear inertial reel, and undo the inertia reel retaining bolt to remove the seat belt from the car. If the stalks are to be renewed, undo the single bolt, remove the separating plate, and take out the relevant stalk. For refitting, follow the reverse order of removal.
